چکیده

Salinity, along with drought, is one of the key abiotic stressors that has posed a danger to advancement and evolution cereal crops like rice wheat. Water shortage lack irrigation water availability are main causes salty soil formation. Rice salt sensitive glycophyte, wheat moderately tolerant. Wild tolerant cultivars Oryza coarctata alta more than traditional such as Pokkali Nona Bokra in rice. Salt stress affects crop plants’ processes ionic imbalance, osmotic oxidative stress. Na+ should be low shoots plant which restricted by various transporters cell membrane roots soil. High K+ & Na+/K+ homeostasis maintained. Many RILs NILs have been developed acts donor for salinity genes. FL478 recombinant inbred line candidate genes situated Saltol region chromosome 1 obtained cross between x IR29. Increase world’s population, output must increased at least 25% 2030 50% 2050.Salinity polygenic character involves several works harmony. For cultivars, we need access physiological, biochemical genetic responses helps transfer from parents elite high yielding cultivars. Especially mechanisms like, Ion equilibrium regulation, Adjustment potential, Reduction ROS, Nutrient disequilibrium, Regulation PGRs. Conventional, MABC, MAS direct gene transgenic methods. This review paper's objective understand plants effects development modern approaches fulfill food scarcity staple increasing population.

Effect of salinity stress on growth and carbohydrate metabolism in three rice (Oryza sativa L.) cultivars differing in salinity tolerance.

Rice seedlings cv. Khao Dawk Mali 105 (salt-sensitive), Luang Anan (moderately salt-tolerant) and Pokkali (salt-tolerant) were exposed to 0, 50, 100 and 150 mM NaCI for 9 d. Salinity stress caused reduction in leaf relative water contents in all cultivars. Shoot length of cv. Pokkali was least affected by salinity stress whereas increased root length in response to salinity stress was apparent ...

Effects of cyanobacterial extracellular products and gibberellic acid on salinity tolerance in Oryza sativa L

Salt stress is one of the most serious factors limiting the productivity of rice, the staple diet in many countries. Gibberellic acid has been reported to reduce NaCl-induced growth inhibition in some plants including rice. Most paddy soils have a natural population of Cyanobacteria, prokaryotic photosynthethic microorganisms, which synthesize and liberate plant growth regulators such as gibber...

Hierarchical additive effects on heterosis in rice (Oryza sativa L.)

Exploitation of heterosis in crops has contributed greatly to improvement in global food and energy production. In spite of the pervasive importance of heterosis, a complete understanding of its mechanisms has remained elusive. In this study, a small test-crossed rice population was constructed to investigate the formation mechanism of heterosis for 13 traits. The results of the relative mid-pa...

Genetic diversity analysis of rice cultivars (Oryza sativa L.) differing in salinity tolerance based on RAPD and SSR markers

Thirty rice cultivars were evaluated for salinity tolerance during the seedling stage and were divided into five tolerance groups including tolerant (T), moderately tolerant (MT), moderately susceptible (MS), susceptible (S) and highly susceptible (HS) which comprised 5, 10, 9, 4 and 2 cultivars respectively. Genetic diversity of all rice cultivars was evaluated using random amplified polymorph...
